NS Otto Hahn: Contamination measurements after decommissionig and release for further use

Description

Gammaspectrometrical investigations during shutdown showed mostly Co-60 in the contaminated regions. The scintillation dosemeter developed at the PTB has been used for measuring the environmental radiation. Material samples taken at random have been inspected gammaspectrometrically in order to prove the reliability of the contamination measurements accompanying the shutdown work. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Durch gammaspektrometrische Untersuchungen waehrend der Stillegungsarbeiten war in den kontaminierten Bereichen hauptsaechlich Co-60 ermittelt worden. Zum Einsatz kam das in der PTB entwickelte Szintillationsdosimeter zur Messung der Umgebungsstrahlung. Zum Nachweis der Zuverlaessigkeit der die Stillegung begleitenden Kontaminationsmessungen wurden stichprobenartig ausgesuchte Materialproben gammaspektrometrisch untersucht. (DG)
