Description
Objective: To investigate and analyze the CT and MRI imaging features and application of skull base erosion in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), combined with the description in the radiotherapy target. Methods: 21 cases of NPC with skull base involvement both underwent CT and MRI plain plus enhancement scan. The radiotherapy target of skull base were limed by CT image (Group A), MRI image (Group B) and Fusion Image (Group C) respectively. Results: The volume of radiotherapy target in Group C is bigger than that in Group A, and that in Group B is bigger than that in Group C. Conclusion: CT combined MRI can exactly reflect the range and degree of skull base involvement, which is an important reference to give a brief general account about the radiotherapy target of NPC with skull base involvement.
