Aqueous systems of pyridine hydrochloride and gadolinium- and dysprosium chlorides

  • 1. Bashkirskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Ufa (USSR)

Description

Solubility has been studied at 20 and 40 deg C in two ternary systems consisting of pyridine hydrochloride, water, gadolinium and dysprosium chlorides. Solubility isotherms point to the formation in both systems of congruently soluble compounds corresponding to the following composition: GdCl3x3C5H5NxHClx3H2O; DyCl3x8C5H5NxHClx4H2O; and also that of incongruently soluble compounds of the composition: GdCl3x6C5H5NxHCl and DyCl3xC5H5NxHClx3H2O. Individuality of these phases has been proven by the DTA; the composition has been confirmed by the chemical analysis
