Effect of gamma-irradiation on hysteresis phenomena in the range of incommensurable-commensurable crystal phase transformations for Rb2ZnBr4

Description
Effect of gamma-radiation on the temperature hysteresis of dielectric permittivity ε and the tangent of dielectric losses angle tg δ of the Rb2ZnBr4 crystal in the area of the phase transition (PT) commensurable-incommensurable phase is studied. It is established that anomalies in form of the maxima observed on the curves ε(T) and tg δ (T) in the area of the phase transition Tc. Presence of hysteresis of measured properties, including also the Tc (ΔT = Tch - Tcc) transition temperatures both for nonirradiated and irradiated samples, is determined. It is shown that by increase in the radiation dose the ΔT hysteresis value grows, the εmax and the tg δ values in the transition point decrease and anomalies are washed out
