Heat exchanger for installation in a nuclear reactor
Description
A heat exchanger is described which is to make use of the waste heat of a high-temperature nuclear reactor for performing chemical processes. The heat exchanger is arranged within a double-walled vessel within a steel-coated cavern of the prestressed-concrete vessel wall. The reaction tubes filled with a catalyst are heated by hot circuit gas of the reactor installation. The invention relates to the constructional design of an installation of that kind taking into consideration that installing and service are uncomplicated, but meet stringent safety requirements. The heat exchanger reposes on a ring console in the lower part of the steel coating, the supply and discharge tubes are guided through the closure head and can be blocked individually or section-wise. Es wird ein Waermeaustauscher beschrieben, der die Abwaerme eines Hochtemperaturkernreaktors zur Durchfuehrung chemischer Prozesse ausnutzen soll. Der Waermeaustauscher ist in einem doppelwandigen Gefaess innerhalb einer mit Stahl ausgekleideten Kaverne der Spannbetonbehaelterwand untergebracht. Die mit einem Katalysator gefuellten Reaktionsrohre werden vom heissen Kreislaufgas der Reaktoranlage geheizt. Die Erfindung betrifft die konstruktive Gestaltung einer solchen Anlage, bei der beruecksichtigt ist, dass Einbau und Wartung unkompliziert sind, aber hohen Sicherheitsanforderungen genuegen. Der Waermeaustauscher sitzt auf einer Ringkonsole im unteren Teil der Stahlauskleidung, die Zu- und Ableitungsrohre werden durch den Deckel gefuehrt und koennen einzeln oder sektionsweise abgesperrt werden.
