Intervention device, especially for control, inspection and maintenance of heat exchangers

Description

The steam generator inspection and maintenance device has an articulated arm formed at least by two rigid segments connected by a pivot and two plates on the ends of the arms by articulated joints which enable them to rotate about two orthogonal axis. One of the axis is parralel to the axis of the pivot between the arm sections while the other is perpendicular to the surface of the corresponding plate. Each of the plates carries coupling elements which are able to engage with the perforations of the heat exchanger tube plates and also a support for a maintenance tool

Abstract (French)

Pour realiser des interventions, notamment de controle et de maintenance, a l'interieur des echangeurs de chaleur tels que les generateurs de vapeur equipant les centrales nucleaires, il est propose un dispositif comprenant un bras articule forme d'au moins deux segments rigides articules entre eux autour d'un axe A, et deux plateaux montes aux extremites du bras articule par l'intermediaire de deux poignets autorisant chacun deux rotations autour de deux axes orthogonaux B, C, dont l'un B est parallele a l'axe A et dont l'autre C est perpendiculaire a la surface du plateau correspondant. Chaque plateau porte des organes d'accrochage aptes a venir en prise dans les perforations d'une plaque a tubes de l'echangeur, et un support pour un outil d'intervention
