Application of isotopes and radiations to meet the new challenges in Indian agriculture
Description
The significant advances using nuclear and isotope techniques to improve the quantity and quality of agricultural produce, reduce the post harvest losses, improve soil fertility, fertilizer and water use efficiency, increase crop production, control of pests and diseases and to protect the environment are described. Spectacular progress has been made in genetic improvement of crops through combined use of induced mutation and various other techniques
