Description
The present review deals with the most significant results of the studies of elementary processes and resonance phenomena in pair collisions of electrons, atoms, and ions obtained by Uzhgorod physicists during last decades. The specific features of technique and methods of studying the elementary processes and the results on effective ionization and excitation cross sections for atoms by electron and ion impact are considered. The resonance effects and related phenomena at the collisions of monoenergetic electrons with atoms as well as the regular oscillations in the excitation and charge transfer cross sections at slow ion-atom collisions have been studied for the first time
