Radioactive iodine chemistry and safety spray in PWR plant severe accidents

Description
The radioactive iodine chemical form in PWR severe accidents, the iodine chemical behavior in safety spray process, the radiolysis chemistry of iodide solution, and the compatibility of safety spray solution and materials are summarized. It is demonstrated that the addition of NaOH in the containment spray solution is necessary
