Description

A simultaneous analysis of the reduced equations and of the Jones matrix for a solid-state ring laser is used to obtain an expression for the frequency of self-modulation oscillations in the case of arbitrary polarisations of counterpropagating waves and arbitrary coupling coefficients, in the presence of amplitude and frequency cavity nonreciprocities. It is shown how the chip-laser cavity geometry affects the dependence of the self-modulation frequency on the amplitude cavity nonreciprocity. (control of laser radiation parameters)
