Plastic and strength characteristics of monocrystals and ceramics of high-temperature superconducting metal-oxides

Description
Microhardness and fracture toughness of rare earth (Y, Gd, D, Ho, Er, Yb) cuprate monocrystal are measured. The grown crystal habit and crack formation anisotropy under indentor testify to the fact that (001) plane possesses minimal surface energy. Porosity effect on microhardness of yttrium ceramics is studied, empiric connection between microhardness and density is ascertained
