The method of observing the corrosion and deposit in the water coolers with the help of corrosion coupons

One of the essential problems which occurs with water coolers is the corrosion of the equipment caused by the cooling water flowing through the pipeline system. Because the corrosion itself is a continuous and long lasting process, it is necessary to observe and control the same. The corrosion control or the deposit control usually is done by building, in so called corrosion coupons, at the most critical points in the process. These coupons, after a certain period of time, are extracted from the process and are both chemically and mathematically evaluated. On the basis of the obtained results, we receive a clear picture of the condition of the equipment, equipment corrosion damage or deposit damage, as well as the results of the cooling water treatment.
