Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems to Improve Critical Infrastructure and Campus Security - 23513

The threat to government facilities, campus sites, defense installations, and critical infrastructure from a wide range of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) is growing rapidly, from inexpensive and capable commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) quadcopters to sophisticated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and loitering munitions UAS. This is a concerning challenge because it is hard to determine and discern the operator intent of these unmanned aircraft systems, and to distinguish a recreational user from a state sponsored or malicious actor. Leidos in partnership with the Department of Defense, and other federal agencies and commercial entities is working on holistic enterprise solutions to solve multi-vector threat scenarios. (authors)
