Study of pellet ablation in plasmas

Description

A numerical calculation is performed by using a pellet ablation model with two regions. Analysis of Parks's model shows that his ablation scaling law is not applicable to pellet ablation in plasmas with high temperature and low density. The effect of energy distribution of electrons on ablation rate is estimated
