Magnetoelastic strain sensors for the outdoors application
Description
Magnetoelastic strain sensor for applications in civil engineering was developed, fabricated, and tested. The two-coil sensor operates as an unloaded transformer with the open magnetic core made of a stress-annealed amorphous CoFeCrSiB ribbon. The influence of annealing conditions on the dynamic magnetization characteristics of ribbon is investigated. The sensitivity of output signal to external DC-magnetic field and ambient temperature is tested
