The NORDBALL - a multidetector system for the study of nuclear structure
Description
The basic concept of the NORDBALL project is discussed in the frame of nuclear structure research. It is a modular multidetector system, primarily designed for optimal performance in detection of γ-transition cascades. Emphasis is put on detection of higher-fold photo-peak coincidences which give reduced background and higher selectivity and resolving power. (orig.)
