Description

The definition, types and forms of safety goals for the operation of nuclear power plants are described. The possible partition of safety goals as well as their application and evaluation are presented. Taking the safety goals proposed by Nuclear Regulatory Commission of the United States as an example, the difficulties in the development and practical application of the safety goals and alterative solutions are discussed
