Phase transformations in steels under pulses of high-pressure plasma
Creators
Description
Metallographical and X-ray structural analysis of surface layer of carbon and low-alloyed steels treated with plasma with (2-6)x104 K temperature and with 0.3-2 GPa pressure during 10-4-10-3 s is carried out. Austenite, martensite and nitrides are found in the external fused layer. The phase composition peculiarities are explained by the melt saturation with plasma components
