Description
Using the method of isotopic exchange for 18O from the gas phase with oxygen in the oxide a study was made into oxygen self-diffusion in tetragonal zirconium dioxide in the temperature range of 1500...1900 K. The dependence of oxygen self-diffusion coefficient of oxygen pressure in gas mixture has not been found. From this fact the conclusion is made that oxygen transport in the oxide lattice takes place in so called external region where the oxide defect structure is defined by impurity atoms. 10 refs., 3 figs
