Inner-shell ionization and stopping power

For better understanding of various aspects in stopping phenomena such as Z13-dependence, shell correction, geometrical effect, direction dependence etc., it seems to be helpful to examine theoretically and experimentally the elementary processes which include plasmon excitation, single electron excitation and inner-shell excitation/ionization.
