Linear electron positron colliders

Creators

Description

A linear electron positron collider with center-of-mass energies between 500 and 1000 GeV has emerged as the next big project of particle physics worldwide. Different technical solutions are currently under study. Such a machine can contribute significantly to our understanding of the physics at the electroweak scale. Precision studies of the Standard Model physics and the precision study of expected new phenomena as e.g. the Higgs will help to unravel this physics. The search for new phenomena will be another central focus of the program at this collider
