Preparation of reducing liquid radwaste and efficient treatment for decommissioning of OPR1000 in Korea
Description
In based on Dec 2019, 23 Nuclear power plants in Korea is being commercial operation. Thus Kori 1 which is first nuclear power plant of KOREA was shut down permanently. A successful aspect of decommissioning of NPP is how to reduce radwaste. Radwaste is largely divided into Solid, Liquid and Vapor. Thus they are processed by regular method with facilities operating. The purpose of thesis is to find proper ways to reduce liquid radioactive waste generated during decommissioning through facilities operating and necessary for decontamination in OPR1000. It analyzed the currently used liquid radioactive waste treatment system and ways to reduce the waste. This thesis suggest how to reduce liquid radwaste with efficient method and additional facilities when OPR1000 is decommissioned
