Application of extraction by supported liquid membranes in FIA on-line separation

Description

The application of extraction by supported liquid membranes (SLM) in flow injection analysis (FIA) on-line separation has been investigated. The principle of a SLM process is that the organic phase is adsorbed to a porous hydrophobic membrane separating the two aqueous phases which correspond to the feed and strip solution in the extraction process. It shows that SLM separations can be used in FIA. It can supply another rapid and automatic analysis method for determining uranium (VI). In the FIA system, trace uranium (VI) in samples is determined under a having existed determination conditions after trace uranium (VI) being separated by SLM. A determination range of the method is 10∼100 μg/mL and the relative standard deviation (RSD) is 0.9%, the determination speed is 20 samples/h. The membrane can be used for a month. (over 100 samples)
