Equilibrium of a plasma layer in a high-frequency electromagnetic field

Description
Equilibrium of a plane plasma layer insulated by a high-frequency electromagnetic wave from contact with metal walls is considered. Two types of equilibrium states differing in the field symmetry are shown to be possible. Relation between the parameters of the system in equilibrium state is investigated. Total number of plasma particles confined by a HF field is determined
