Description

The Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) now being built at the UK Science and Engineering Research Council's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is mainly, though not exclusively, intended to produce short pulses of slow neutrons for studying solids and fluids on the atomic scale by neutron-scattering techniques.
