Phase analysis of the dynamic radionuclide hepatic blood flow imagings

  • 1. PLA General Hospital, Beijing (China)

Description

28 patients with space occupying lesions (14 hepatic hemangiomas and 14 hepatoma) were studies by phase analysis carried out on 99mTc-RBC hepatic blood flow study. The results showed that the phase of hepatoma was obviously earlier (-27 deg C ± 11 deg C) while the phase of hemangioma was similar (-2.7 deg C ± 9 deg C) to that of normal liver tissue. Through the phantom experiments it was also proved that the phase shift was influenced by the starting points, slope, height and presence or absence of artery spike of the curves. Compared with the general liver blood flow/blood pool method, addition of phase analysis can elevated the diagnostic accuracy of hepatoma to about 10%
