Cooling system pipe circuit for LMFBR type reactor

Description

Purpose: To avoid the occurrence of thermal stress in a cooling system pipe circuit for an LMFBR type reactor and to enable uniform rize of the temperature therein by providing a bypass line partly at the pipe between the primary cooling system flowing from a nuclear reactor to an intermediate heat exchanger and a secondary cooling system flowing from the intermediate heat exchanger to a superheater and an evaporator. Constitution: A bypass line is provided at least at a part of a pipe between a primary cooling system flowing liquid metal coolant from a nuclear reactor to an intermediate heat exchanger and a secondary cooling system flowing from the intermediate heat exchanger to both a superheater and an evaporator, and a heat source and a blower for forcedly circulating heated gas to the cooling system pipe are provided at the bypass line. Accordingly, the entire system can be uniformly heated and raised at temperature by the easy operation of the electric heater and without excessive temperature difference. (Yoshihara, H.)
