Highlights: • The radiological characteristics of reactor pressure vessel (RPV) was analyzed and evaluated. • The dose rates of RPV surface and concrete shield were analyzed and evaluated. • This paper will be expected to be used for decommissioning plan of RPV and reduction plan of dose rate exposure. - Abstract: To establish the decommissioning plan of reactor pressure vessel (RPV) in nuclear power plants, its radiological characteristics was analyzed and evaluated.
