Description
This chapter addresses impacts that products of combustion (exhausts and ash), waste heat, and noise from any plant have on the environment. The high thermal efficiency of combined-cycle plants make them potentially less harmful to the environment than other fossil fuel power plants. The possible impacts of a combined-cycle plant and ways to minimize them are addressed. Topics include reduction of NOx and SOx emissions, waste heat rejection, and noise emissions
