Uranyl nitrate coordination compound containing A 18-Membered hexaaza macrocyclic ligand

Description
A novel uranyl nitrate coordination compound of hexadentate nitrogen donor macrocycle UO2(NO3)2·(C30H26N6)·4H2O(C30H26N6 = 18-Membered hexaaza macrocycle) has been obtained by the condensation of 2,6-diacetyl pyridine with O-phenylene diamine in anhydrous alcohol when UO22+ ion is used as the template agent. It appears to be an air stable solid powder. Its spectra (IR, UV and fluorescence spectrum), thermal analysis and electrical conductance etc. are reported
