Advanced decontamination methods
Description
This objective of this project part was to propose and test advanced radioactive decontamination methods applicable, in particular, in disposal decontamination. Focus is on chemical methods, ultrasonic decontamination and dry abrasive blasting. It is concluded that combination of the approaches is considerably more efficient than any of the approach alone. Also, it is economical to decontaminate only such materials as ca be returned to the environment. (P.A.)
