Description
As an important indicator for technical safety goals, quantitative probabilistic safety goals present acceptable risk level for NPPs in the context of postulated accidents. Core Damage Frequency (CDF) and Large Release Frequency(LRF) are two main risk indicators of NPPs in China, while there isn't any risk acceptability criterion for Level 3 PSA (Probabilistic Safety Analysis). In this paper, probabilistic safety goals for NPPs at home and abroad have been summarized and recommended value of acceptable risk level for China's NPPs has been suggested. Finally, the results can be expected to support in performing risk-informed regulation by China's nuclear safety authority and evaluating full scope of Level 3 PSA results. (authors)
