Nonlocal nucleon optical potential: the folding model and R-matrix method

  • 1. Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology, Hanoi (Viet Nam)

Description

The nonlocal optical potential of nucleon-nucleus interaction is built by folding model using effective nucleon-nucleon interaction CDM3Yn. The R-matrix method was applied to treat the non-local effect of the interaction in a natural way in nucleon-nucleus scattering. The elastic scattering data of 16O, 40Ca, 90Zr and 208Pb is investigated at different projectile energies. The result indicates that the contribution from non-local effect is significant at low and medium energies, and therefore cannot be ignored in nucleon-nucleus scattering analyses at these energies (author)
