A facile solvent regulated method for phase control of two-dimensional nickel-cobalt hydroxide nanosheets: Towards improved performance hybrid supercapacitors

Highlights: • A facile method is developed for phase control of nickel-cobalt hydroxide nanosheets. • The thickness of nickel-cobalt hydroxide nanosheets is 3–4 nm. • Ultrahigh capacitance of 2366.6 F g−1 can be obtained for α-phase nanosheets. • The assembled asymmetric supercapacitor exhibits an energy density of 38.5 Wh kg−1.
