Pipe rupture incident of Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit-1

Description
At the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit-1 (540 MWe of electric output; BWR-4 type) of the Chubu Electric Power Co., Ltd., an incident of pipe rupture of residual heat removal system on steam condenser system occurred on November, 2001. This incident gave no effects on outer parts of the station, because safety system apparatuses in the station worked adequately from a standpoint of accidental phenomenon. On the other hand, on its forming processes, as it is no similar case at the nuclear power stations in and out of Japan, to securely carry out countermeasures for preventing a recurrence of the incidence, its cause was striven to elucidate thoroughly. This paper was introduced about contents and results on site surveys, and surveys such as tests, analysis, and so on performed for about a half year after the incident, for preventing a recurrence of similar incidents. 2001年11月、中部電力(株)浜岡原子力発電所1号機(電気出力540MWe、BWR4)において、余熱除去系蒸気凝縮系配管が破断する事故が発生した。本事象は、事象の影響から見ると、原子力発電所の安全系設備が的確に作動し、発電所外部へ影響を与えるものではなかった。一方、その事象発生過程においては、国内外原子力発電所において類例のない事象であったことから、事故の再発防止対策を確実に実施するために原因を徹底して究明することに努めた。本稿では、同種事故の再発防止の糧とすべく、事故後約半年をかけて実施した現場調査や試験·解析等の調査の内容と結果について紹介することとする。(日本)Additional details
