Description
Recommendations are made for the reporting of stable isotope measurements of carbon and oxygen in CO2 gas. The isotopic composition of the hypothetical Vienna PDB calcite and CO2 gas are determined from the primary standard calcite NBS19. An ion correction procedure is described which eliminates many of the errors which can arise during inter-calibration exercises. Data are presented which allow implementations of the data reduction procedure to be tested. (author). 12 refs
