Description
This case illustrates involvement of the distal end of the humerus in a 32-year-old man by a histiocytoid hemangioma. This vascular tumor has many of the clinical and radiological features of hemangioendothelioma, with a generally benign clinical course, despite frequent local recurrence and a tendency for multifocal skeletal involvement. Histologically histiocytoid hemangiomas closely resemble the aggressive cutaneous lesions of angiolymphoid hyperplasia with cosinophilia and several rarer tumors of the heart, blood vessels and soft tissues.
