The wurtzite-zincblende phase transformation in irradiated zinc selenide
Description
Abstract The damage produced in wurtzite platelets of zinc selenide by heavy ion bombardment has been observed by means of transmission electron microscopy. The annealing behaviour of such damage has been noted, and it has been shown that a phase transformation to the zincblende modification occurs under certain conditions. The origin of the partial dislocations responsible for this transformation has been identified and their cooperative motion has been observed.
