Description
The problem of Feynman scaling violation in the processes of the multiple hadron production is studied in the context of the dual parton model. It is shown that in the framework of the model there is a simple explanation of the effect, based on the underlying parton kinematics. According to this, for the rise of the plateau height one has dN/dy vertical bary=0 ≅ (n(s))·a·(1-b/ln(s/s0)), where is the average number of quark pairs involved in the interaction and the last two terms on the right-hand side of the expression describe a violation of the scaling in the production of the secondary particles by the quark-quark system. Predictions of the model are compared with the data and various data parametrizations. (author)
