Vacuum progress in the HL-1M tokamak

Description

Vacuum progress in the HL-1M tokamak from 1994 to 1998 is summarized. The influence of vacuum wall conditions and wall coatings on plasma discharges in this device has been widely studied. The technique of conventional silicon wall coating and glow discharge clearing have been developed and proved to be valid. The wall control system is becoming more mature as the main factors affecting the wall conditioning are more deeply investigated
