Comparison of the IAEA and the US NRC regulations through identification of integrated ECCS safety safety requirements
Description
One objective of performing this study is to make a close comparison of the international atomic energy agency (IAEA) regulations, to be verified in evaluating nuclear power plants (NPPs) design and performance, with those of the united states nuclear regulatory commission (US NRC). But, since the scope of these regulations is quite large and they cover numerous diverse aspects and systems, the comparison is made in the light of the regulations applicable in the review and assessment (R and A) of the emergency core cooling system (ECCS). Thus, this study can also be viewed as an identification of the integrated ECCS safety requirements under both the US NRC and the IAEA regulations
