Study and design works concerning the selection of the solutions of the main cooling system and the composition of the reactor building (with the WWER-1000 type reactor) for the different type of steam generators

The results of investigations and studies concerning the selection of the construction of the cooling system and the reactor building for WWER-1000 type reactor are presented and discussed in this paper. The influence of the different types of steam generators (horizontal, once - through, U-type), main circulating pumps, cut-off equipment and fuel management on the solution of the cooling system, the composition and size of the containment are discussed.
