Phase ratio in nuclear magnetic logging using the spin-echo method

  • 1. Azerbajdzhanskij Inst. Nefti i Khimii, Baku (USSR)

Description

The effect has been studied of the phase shift between the first and the second radiopulses in the instruments used for the nuclear-magnetic logging by the spin-echo method. It has been found out that in the case of the slow attenuation signals of the nuclear induction it is necessary to make instruments for the nuclear-magnetic spin-echo logging so that to obtain radiopulses which are coherent with the free precession frequency and it is also necessary to invert the phase of the second radiopulse about the phase of the first radiopulse. The conditions are studied under which the phase shift has no significant effect on the amplitude of the induced signal. The dependence of the amplitude of the nuclear-magnetic logging spin-echo signal on the detuning value of the radiopulse frequency and the free precession frequency has been studied
