Description
The anisotropy of the Pr2Fe14B compound has been investigated by means of high-field magnetization measurements of the polycrystalline sample prepared by arc melting. The measurements of the singular point detection signals were performed in the temperature range of 77 to 290 K. For temperatures below 180 K, a first-order phase transition occurs. For temperatures above 180 K a second-order phase transition induced by an external magnet field occurs. A rough estimation of the tricritical point for the Pr2Fe14B sample gives a value of approximately 180 K
