Production of high transverse momentum π0's at the CERN ISR

Creators

Description

The CERN-Columbia-Oxford-Rockefeller experiment is described. Data are presented from the P + P → π0 + anything interaction at √s = 52.7 and 62.4 GeV. A π0 is defined to be an energy cluster in adjacent lead blocks contained in a 3 x 3 matrix. Preliminary results on the cross sections as functions of transverse momentum are shown
