Quark gluon model for total cross sections

Description

It is suggested that the rise in total cross sections at high energies is a consequence of an increasing gluon scattering term. The increase arises from the increase in the number of gluons present, and leads to the prediction that all cross sections tend to the same universal curve at asymptotic energies
