Development of construction technology for nuclear power plants
Description
Stringent safety requirements for nuclear power plants create new technological problems in their construction. The development is influenced by the mode of operation of the respective reactors which leads to different construction styles of the reactor buildings. Accomodation of extraordinary load cases such as earthquake, airplane crash, and blast due to chemical explosions, requires additional treatment. Significant new problems arise for the prestressed concrete reactor pressure vessels and concrete containments, prestressed or reinforced. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die hohen Sicherheitsanforderungen an Kernkraftwerke werfen neuartige bautechnische Probleme auf. Ihre Entwicklung ist beeinflusst durch die Wirkungsweise der in Betracht kommenden Reaktoren, die zu unterschiedlicher konstruktiver Gestaltung der Reaktorgebaeude fuehrt. Die Aufnahme von ungewoehnlichen Lastfaellen wie Erdbeben, Flugzeugabsturz und Druckwellen aus chemischer Explosion machen zusaetzliche Betrachtungen erforderlich. Wesentliche neue Aufgaben werden durch Spannbeton-Reaktordruckbehaelter und Sicherheitsbehaelter aus Stahlbeton und Spannbeton gestellt. (orig.)Additional details
