The decay π+ → e+v
Description
Electron-muon universality in weak interactions has been tested at the 0.2% level by the measurements of the branching ratio of the decays π+ → e+v and π+ → μ+v. Recent theoretical calculations have suggested that the test could be further improved almost by an order of magnitude over the present level. Possible improvements in the branching ratio measurement are discussed
