Elastic pp scattering in the soft nucleon structure model

Description
On the basis of the soft nucleon structure model primary intended to describe ep-scattering with the small momentum transfer, supplemented by a photon-like pomeron hypothesis the quark-gluon model of the elastic pp-scattering has been developed. The model shows the universality of the proton structure in electromagnetic and hadron processes. The peculiarities of the angular distribution at √s > 10 GeV are explained due to scattering on diquark constituent. It is shown that the differential cross section behavior beyond the first and second maxima is defined by the quark distribution at χ ∼ 0.01-0.001. The Regge behavior of the total and elastic cross sections reflects the change of the quark state as a result of the interaction. On the basis of the parameters obtained by description of the elastic ep-scattering the value of the parameter for the supercritical pomeron in photoproduction was found to be ε ≅ 0.12
