Study of reaction between halogens and phosphine using a perturbation method

Description
Kinetic and activation parameters of reaction between halogens and phosphine at different pH are compared with stabilization energy calculated by the perturbation method. It is shown that Hal(OH2)+ and HalOH particles reacting with phosphine via O atom are responsible for the reaction. Reactivity of halogens decreases in the series: Hal2>HalOH; Cl2>Br2>I2
